One of the main application forms of organic silicon insulation paint is the coil impregnation paint for H-grade motors and transformers, which is a 50% silicone resin solution (solvent type). The chemical name of the coil impregnation paint is polymethylphenyl siloxane, such as domestic W30-10053. In the composition of the coil impregnation paint, R: Si=1.5, and the proportion of benzene in the organic base is about 4%.

Usage: Electric motor coils, assemblies, or complete machines using silicone paint glass cloth, silicone paint mica glass tape, and heat-resistant organic film as insulation materials must be impregnated with silicone paint and heated to solidify into a sturdy and sealed H-class heat-resistant, insulating, and moisture-proof paint film to meet the application requirements.
When preparing coils or motor electrical equipment with complex impregnation structures for processing, in order to avoid foaming, the immersed parts should be dried at 100-110 ° C before impregnation to remove moisture and volatile substances, and the temperature rise rate should be appropriately controlled. If necessary, defoamers can also be added to the impregnating paint. Then, immerse the paint after cooling to around 50 ° C. In addition, due to the poor solvent resistance of the paint film, it is not advisable to contact the solvent for a long time, and the secondary immersion time should not be too long, usually about 2 minutes. Fully immerse until no bubbles occur and remove it.

After processing, the gland is hung in the air for several hours to dry, and then heated at 100-140 ° C to evaporate the solvent and undergo initial polymerization. Finally, it is heated at 200-250 ° C for several hours to complete the final polymerization, requiring a total of 10-15 hours of heating before and after. If the pre condensation is insufficient, it will cause foaming when transitioning to high-temperature curing. Under catalyst catalysis, dry rapidly at 100-150 ° C. Catalysts can use Pb Fe、Co、Zr、Sn、 Soluble salts of Mn and amines or quaternary bases.

W30-l and GZD-1-53 can also be used as internal protective coatings for rectifiers, semiconductor components and transistor cores, as well as external protective coatings for instruments and appliances. W30-ll organic silicon drying insulation paint is suitable for impregnating motor and electrical coils that operate for a short period of time at 25-300 ° C, and can also be used for impregnating motor and electrical windings that operate for a long period of time at 180-300 ° C; W30-13 organic silicon drying insulation paint is used to manufacture single or double glass wrapped magnetic wires, impregnating motors and appliances with long-term use temperature of l80 ° C and CH level insulation for winding.

In order to overcome the shortcomings of poor adhesion, poor solvent resistance, and high cost of silicone impregnating paint, organic resin can be modified. There are two methods for manufacturing modified silicone resin. One is the direct mixing method, which involves mixing organic silicone resin with general organic resin in a certain proportion; Another method is to use the initially condensed silicone resin to interact with other organic resins for co condensation, in order to achieve chemical bonding and become a new type of silicone resin.
Organic resins used for mixing include melamine, epoxy resin, urea, alkyd resin, phenolic ester resin, polyester resin, polymethyl methacrylate, etc. In most cases, due to the immiscibility of silicone resin and organic resin, physical mixing of silicone resin and organic resin cannot achieve good results.In the vast majority of cases, two chemical reactions (including copolymerization, co condensation, and co addition reactions) are used. Through chemical modification, these copolymer products have the good properties of both silicone resin and organic resin, improving the drying conditions of silicone resin, shortening the drying time, enhancing the surface hardness, adhesion, solvent resistance, and compatibility with pigments and organic resin of the paint film, making it superior to pure organic silicone resin.
