SilibasePCE-5066 Silicone Emulsion is non-ionic type emulsions of high viscosity PDMS. The product has good compatibility with cosmetic ingredients and surfactants in formulations. SilibasePCE-5066 Silicone Emulsion is an excellent conditioning agent used in 2-in-1 shampoo formulations. The product provides lubricity and softness on hair and shows good combing performance. It’s easy to add to formulations.SilibasePCE-5066 Emulsion is a 60% actives non-ionic emulsion formulated with a polydimethylsiloxane. Because of its non-ionic nature, it can be used in a variety of systems, such as nonionic, anionic, cationic surfactant or polymer systems without forming a complex. Extensive testing has shown that SilibasePCE-5066 Emulsion performs comparably to its predecessor and offers better dilution stability at 20% solids.

SilibasePCE-5066 can be used as received or in a diluted form.

For use as release/lubricant SilibasePCE-5066 may be applied as received in a diluted form by the conventional methods of spraying, dipping, wiping or brushing. Low hardness water should be used for dilution. A typical dilution is SilibasePCE-5066 Emulsion (1 part w/w) to water (20 parts w/w) but the user should determine the best concentration and application method on a small scale before production.

For use as fabric finish agent SilibasePCE-5066 can be applied to fabric by padding. The amount of emulsion required will depend on the fabric constructions and type of fabric used (natural, synthetic). Generally, between 6 g/L and 25 g/L bath concentration is recommended.

Analogue for XIAMETER™ MEM-0346 Nontoxic Emulsion.

1. Scour goods in a non-ionic detergent and rinse thoroughly. Follow with an acid rinse using 2 g/L of 80% acetic acid for 5 minutes. This will neutralize any alkali residues from previous processes that may cause pad bath instability and lead to oil spots on fabrics or gel on the rollers.

2. If crease resist resins or fillers are used, dilute in the mixing tank in accordance with the

manufacturers’ instructions. If hot, cool to below 30°C before adding the silicone emulsion.

3. Pre-dilute the required amount of SilibasePCE-5066 with an approximately equal weight of cold water and add to the mixing tank.

4. If crease resist resin catalyst is used, pre-dilute with an equal weight of water and add

to the mixing tank.

5. Top up to final volume with cold water

Offset of high gloss XIAMETER™ MEM-0346 Emulsion. SilibasePCE-5066 Emulsion has been specially formulated for use as polish ingredient and release agent/lubricant either “as received” or “pre-diluted” with water. Its formulation, stability and efficiency can lead to a variety of applications. SilibasePCE-5066 Silicone Emulsion is an ideal ingredient for 2-in-1 shampoo, hair care products, etc.

As ingredient in polishes, SilibasePCE-5066 Emulsion is used to provide good gloss with minimum smear in both car and furniture polish formulations

Start with clean mixing tank, delivery lines, pad box and rolls.

Dilute the emulsion with cold water only.

Do not use a high shear stirrer when making finishing liquor.
