SilibaseDFH-052N is designed for unsaturated polyester systems, acrylate/vinyl acetate copolymer systems and epoxy systems. Meanwhile it can play the role of gas release and leveling.
SilibaseDFH-052N is especially suitable for all kinds of primer defoaming of wood and industrial paint. It has moderate defoaming ability, slightly affects the transparency, has low shrinkage risk and is relatively safe. It can also be applied to matt paint, not recommended for high gloss finish systems.
SilibaseDFH-052N prevents the formation of foam in printing ink systems during manufacture and filling.
It prevents the formation of foam and bubbles during processing. The additive has an immediate foam destroying effect and does not reduce intercoat adhesion during recoating.

To achieve full effectiveness, SilibaseDFH-052N should be added prior to the grinding process. If added during a later stage, the available shear forces must be high enough to ensure good distribution of SilibaseDFH-052N in order to prevent cratering.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions
To achieve optimal defoaming, the defoamer should be added to the millbase. If it is incorporated at a later time, sufficient shear forces must be ensured in order to achieve good defoamer distribution and to prevent crater formation.
