Organic Silicon Adhesive Insulation Paint

Organic silicon adhesive insulation paint is mainly used to bond various heat-resistant insulation materials, such as mica sheets, mica powder, glass fibers, glass cloth, asbestos fibers, and other laminated products. This type of paint requires fast curing, strong adhesion, high mechanical strength, resistance to peeling, oil resistance, and moisture resistance. The silicone insulation paint used for bonding mica is also a type of polymethylphenyl siloxane.
As a adhesive paint, it requires a faster drying speed than impregnating paint, and the formed film is flexible and adhesive. Take high temperature resistant silicone mica adhesive as an example, the product is colorless and transparent, with resin content of 50%±3%, viscosity (Z0 ℃) of 15~30mPa·s, gel time of 150 ℃) of 3~20min, and anhydrous ethanol as solvent. After bonding mica, it can withstand high temperatures of over 500 ℃ (organic groups decompose while maintaining adhesion) and has good insulation performance. 34-2 organosilicon resin (KMK 218 pressure plastic) is used as an arc resistant asbestos adhesive.
Mica is a very good natural electrical insulation medium, which can still maintain its electrical insulation performance at high temperatures of 500-600 ℃. High temperature resistant natural mica sheets [including hard (white) mica and soft (gold) mica] have various uses in industry. Mica products bonded with silicone resin can also be made into hard or soft mica plates, tapes, sheets, or pipes that are not limited by size, and used as electrical insulation materials for high-voltage motors or electric heating devices.
Hard mica products include mica plates for shaping, mica plates for rectifying plates, mica plates for supporting electric heaters, and flexible mica plates; Soft products mainly include winding glass mica tape and refractory tape, as well as strip or soft sheet shaped products. Therefore, it is necessary to provide mica adhesives with different compositions and R/Si to meet practical needs. In order to maintain the high temperature resistance and electrical insulation properties of mica, it is necessary to use high-temperature resistant silicone resin as the insulation paint. Usually, low R/Si ratio methylphenyl silicone resin is used, specifically for producing electric heating mica plates. Due to their excellent heat resistance (which can be used for a long time at 500-700 ℃), the mica insulation materials obtained from them have been widely used as silver engraved electric wire support plates in hair dryers, heating pots, electric scooters, toasters, insulation heat plates for high-temperature machines, and electronic stove partitions.
The production method of mica board is similar to that of glass cloth laminated board. Firstly, add the catalyst to the mica adhesive solution and spray or stick it onto the mica paper to dry the prepreg. Then, stack the prepreg as needed to a certain thickness, heat and pressure it to solidify into a mica plate. The amount of catalyst added shall be subject to the requirements of gel time. The amount of silicone resin used in the board is generally about 7% to 10% of the mass of mica.
Organic silicone insulation paint is used for impregnating glass fiber sleeves for silicone rubber cable leads, as well as impregnating motor and electrical coils, and can be used as a powder mica adhesive. Organic silicon drying insulation paint is specifically designed for the production of heat-resistant equipment surface coatings, used as H-grade mica adhesives.

Organic silicone glass cloth and casing impregnation paint
Temperature resistant H-class motor electrical equipment requires multiple matching electrical insulation materials. The impregnating paint for glass (asbestos) cloth and casing is the softest methylphenyl silicone resin in the silicone paint film. Among them, glass fiber wrapped wire, glass fiber cloth, and glass fiber sleeve are made by impregnating with organic silicon impregnation paint, and the glass coated cloth and glass cloth sleeve can provide sufficient adhesion, thermal elasticity, wear resistance, and scratch resistance. They are widely used for insulation and moisture-proof protection of wiring around automotive engines and heating appliances, as well as for wrapping materials and high-temperature parts of coils in motors, dry-type transformers, and household appliances. Especially for insulation and moisture-proof protection covers of electrical wiring, they will gradually lose their elasticity after being heated for a long time at high temperatures.This type of silicone paint requires both the softness of rubber and the flame retardancy of resin. The impregnation paint used for ordinary motors and household appliances is generally solvent impregnation paint, using multiple impregnation methods; For dry-type transformers, solvent-free organic silicon impregnation paint is used.

Glass cloth (asbestos cloth, etc.) is prepared by co hydrolysis and co condensation of dimethyldichlorosilane, phenyltrichlorosilane, and diphenyldichlorosilane as impregnating paints.As a paint for lacquer cloth, it is mainly used for immersing or coating fiberglass cloth to make lacquer cloth. It is required that its drying, temperature, and processing time are generally the same as the impregnation situation, and the film should be heat-resistant and have high thermal elasticity.

Glass cloth (or asbestos cloth) made of organic silicon insulating paint has good electrical properties:
The dielectric loss angle tangent is 0 001, with a volume resistance of 1012~1015.!) cm, The insulation strength is 40-60 kV/mm, suitable for insulation of high-voltage motor casings and various binding insulation materials.

This type of silicone paint requires both the softness of rubber and the flame retardancy of resin. Therefore, the glass cloth used should first undergo debonding and alkali removal treatment, as alkali can promote the aging of the paint film at high temperatures, making the glass paint cloth harder. The residual slurry can cause a decrease in the electrical performance and discoloration of the paint cloth. When impregnating, a resin solution with a concentration of 20%~25% (mass fraction) is generally used, and it is best to use multiple impregnation methods.
