Synthesis of silicone resin
First, we hydrolysis - polycondensation step method, methyltrimethoxysilane as raw materials, the preparation of a silicone resin microballoons. From the two-step hydrolysis and condensation reaction mechanism of the reaction system PH value, oil-water ratio, whether the stirring conditions hydrolysis and condensation reactions affect the distribution and size of the microspheres was studied. Experimental results show that:
1. methyltrimethoxysilane hydrolysis, PH value is between 3.0 to 6.0, the hydrolysis reaction mixture as a clear transparent, can be obtained methylsiliconate.
2. Polycondensation reaction process, PH value range between 8.0 and 10.0 in control, to get the desired product. With PH value increases, the particle size of the obtained product is gradually reduced, depending 7μm reduced to about 3 m, and the particle size distribution tends to narrow.
3. When the reaction water is greater than 1:20, we can’t get the desired product, the reaction water ratio decreases, product particle diameter tends to decrease.
4. Polycondensation reaction under quiescent conditions, spherical silicone resin product, while under agitation, the product obtained is very irregular, adhesion and aggregation serious.
5. The infrared spectrum of the product was analyzed, it can initially concluded that the polymer is a silicone resin.
