Process Application and Composite Materials of Silicone Resin

General resin refers to an organic structure that can soften or flow after heating, and is mostly semi-solid and solid at room temperature. Broadly speaking, resin can refer to all macromolecules processed by plastics, especially chemicals. Resin itself is also one of the raw materials for manufacturing plastics. It can be said that the application of resin is very wide. The silicone resin mentioned by the editor here refers to a very special kind of resin, also called a highly cross-linked mixture. After it is hydrolyzed, the initial shape is circular, which can be obtained after further polycondensation.
1.Process application of silicone resin
  1.1Production process:
Silicone resin is a kind of plastic that can be very stable after being heated. Its most outstanding performance is its excellent thermal oxidation stability. After a high temperature of 250°C for 24 hours, silicone resin loses only 2% to 8% of its own weight. Another excellent property of silicone is its excellent insulation. The dielectric constant of general resin is less than 3, while silicone resin can easily reach it. In addition, silicone resin has strong moisture resistance, water resistance, odor resistance and rust resistance, and will not be easily corroded. The only thing that is not ideal is its poor solubility resistance. 
  1.2 Application areas:
In view of the characteristics of some of the above silicone resins, it is mainly used as an insulating paint, including varnishes and enamels. And use it to soak glass cloth and asbestos cloth, etc., and then make the casing and insulation group of the motor. In this case, general high-voltage motors need such a main insulator. And it can also be made into heat-resistant anti-corrosion coatings and mold release agents. 
 2.Silicone resin composite materials
  2.1Varnished glass cloth. Soak the varnished glass cloth with silicone resin, and then dry it. In this way, it can be used as a wrapping insulating material for electrical appliances and motors.
  2.2laminated plastic. Layers of varnished glass cloth soaked with silicone resin are layered, and high pressure is applied to form it. This finished product can be used for a long time in an environment below 250°C, and can also be used if the temperature reaches 300°C in a short time.
   2.3 Molded plastic. Silicone resin is also used, and its working instantaneous temperature can reach 650℃. Now it has been widely used in aerospace and aviation fields.
