Synthesis of silicone resin
First, we hydrolysis - polycondensationstep method, methyltrimethoxysilane as raw materials, the preparation of asilicone resin microballoons. From the two-step hydrolysis and condensationreaction mechanism of the reaction system PH value, oil-water ratio, whetherthe stirring conditions hydrolysis and condensation reactions affect thedistribution and size of the microspheres was studied. Experimental resultsshow that:
1. methyltrimethoxysilane hydrolysis, PHvalue is between 3.0 to 6.0, the hydrolysis reaction mixture as a cleartransparent, can be obtained methylsiliconate.
2. Polycondensation reaction process, PHvalue range between 8.0 and 10.0 in control, to get the desired product. With PHvalue increases, the particle size of the obtained product is graduallyreduced, depending 7μm reduced to about 3 m, and the particle size distributiontends to narrow.
3. When the reaction water is greater than1:20, we can’t get the desired product, the reaction water ratio decreases,product particle diameter tends to decrease.
4. Polycondensation reaction underquiescent conditions, spherical silicone resin product, while under agitation,the product obtained is very irregular, adhesion and aggregation serious.
5. The infrared spectrum of the product wasanalyzed, it can initially concluded that the polymer is a silicone resin.
